Privacy Policy — CallMeThen
The short version: CallMeThen collects no data. Everything stays on your iPhone.
No data collection
CallMeThen does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no user accounts, and no server of its own. It makes no network connections at all — your reminders never leave your device.
Your reminders
Reminder text, schedules, your chosen voice, and the audio the app records for each reminder are stored only in the app's private storage on your iPhone. They are included in your device backups under the terms of Apple's own backup services (iCloud or local), which you control. Deleting a reminder deletes its data; deleting the app deletes everything.
Microphone and dictation
If you choose to dictate a reminder, CallMeThen uses the microphone together with Apple's on-device speech recognition. Recognition runs entirely on your iPhone — audio and transcripts are never sent to Apple, to us, or to anyone else. The microphone is used only while you are actively dictating, and you can use the app fully without it by typing instead.
Spoken reminders
Reminder audio is generated on your device using Apple's built-in system voices and played through local notifications. No speech is generated or processed off-device.
Notifications
CallMeThen uses local notifications scheduled on your device to speak your reminders at the times you set. There are no push notifications and no remote servers involved.
Permissions
The app asks for notification permission (to speak reminders) and, only if you use dictation, microphone and speech-recognition permission. Each permission is optional, is used solely for the feature it names, and can be changed at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Children
CallMeThen collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described plainly here.
